Google’s New Search Result Norms
Google’s patent: Google has been doing something different this time. The search engine instead of putting its entire focus on algorithmic updates, is also trying to make a patent work, which it filed back in 2005. However, it wasn’t before the last year that it was finally granted and now Google is going to look on websites and judge on their genuine features and their performance on the basis of it. It will check that all the paragraphs of the website have relevant content or not. The website content should have proper
punctuations and no grammatical error. There can be alterations and additions of features in the patent by now. However, it all means that Google want to make sure that the websites have really good content and other features for the visitors. In fact, the search engine has already started on this. The websites now need to have content that will be relevant along with appropriate Meta description for it. A website should also manage to have a good number of clicks apart from being in the top search results as it will also be considered by Google.
What you should do: You need to make certain enquiries and researches and see if the search query for your website actually brings a visitor to your website. It can also be that the website is similar to the name of a term a particular site or based on a part of it. In that case the latter is likely to get more clicks since people will be looking for it. Next to this the keywords of the web page or the website need to be related as well. Google has any way been stressing on this part. If your website lacks keyword proximity and density, you are likely to see fluctuations in your search engine ranking. Also your domain name needs to have the main keyword or the name of the business or else it won’t be coming in the
search result easily. At least if yours is based on a particular topic then it should have that in tis URL or else Google will first show results that will have the URL.
Appeal: There is also one thing on which the availability of your website is less or more. If your website or your business concerns of a topic that has least appeal or is required to be known by a particular group of people then it is obvious that they will be particularly looking for your website or that topic’s search results. However if the topic concerns something which is for everyone almost or is an important part of something we all need, you are going to get a huge number of visitors to your website and your search engine ranking, in that case will go up. However, it is still not sure whether Google will be considering this for ranking your website or not. It is more likely that it will check the other features.
