What Google is Up To with its Patent?

Google’s patent: Google has always been stressing the websites to be more genuine in their content and have interesting features that will be easy to understand by the visitors. The search engine is maintaining this and of late it has been heard that it has been granted a patent, which it filed long back. According to this, the sites that will rank, will get so on the basis of their quality. The websites should be more focused on serving the human interests and the sites that will have return visits will be preferred more by it. The patent sounds very much like Google’s Panda update in the way it wants websites to maintain their grammar in the content and prevent any spelling mistakes. The content should be informative and relevant to the topic on which the website is providing guidance or information. Google is also allowing the humans, i.e. the readers to rate the websites on the basis of how much information and satisfaction do they get from the websites. Google has yet not said much on this. It simply wants others to remain much in the darkness so that they don’t learn to play with its new set of rules and make the most out of it. As of now, the website owners must know that any inappropriate or adult content or irrelevant links to the website will lead to its demotion in ranking. There should also not be any blank or incomplete pages in the website.

Rating of websites: As far as the matter of humans rating websites is concerned, it has been said that there will be a scale of 1 to 5 on which they will need to rate the websites. The ones that are good (as considered by the viewers) will be given a rate of 4.5 or more. The ones that will get 1 or a little more than that will be considered poor in their performance or having duplicate content. The sites that will have URL including any word that is irrelevant to the website or have something that is objectionable will be simply not allowed to get any rating at all. There is still some confusion as whether Google will allow the viewers to give negative mark to a website or not.

For blogs: As for the blogs, the patent holds a particular rule. It is called the click rate and according to this a blog will be measured or ranked depending on the number of clicks of it whenever its URL appeared in search engine results and how many times was the URL clicked when it came in the blog results. Another in this regard will be the Page Rank in which the blog will be doing the task of building the quality rating for the blog sites. All these will surely help the visitors to get better and refined search results. Through this there won’t be any wrong website or URL getting the top search result.
