We want you to be careful and avoid being in the list of the people who now are afraid of SMM or Social Media Marketing. You must always remember that it is an important platform for your online success.
Here are some of the common mistakes which you must not commit:
- Not socializing on social media: People often forget that they are on the social media platform. This requires them to be ready to socialize and create connections and also establish them. But some business owners often sell their business, i.e. they keep telling the users about their business and benefits of it. This sounds more like advertising and people get irritated by this. If this happens they are never going to see your social media content and campaigns.
- Incompleteness in your profile: An incomplete profile can really turn away the potential customers from your business profile and therefore from your online business. The users will consider you to lack proper background and worse, they will think that you are not serious about your business. This
can cause you serious problems. Once your image is spoiled or you fail to have a good reputation, you can’t correct it easily. Remember ‘first impression’ is always the last on the internet. - Automated messages (direct): Think of it. You know someone on the internet, but not for a long time. Now suddenly you are getting automated messages and requests to see the blog of that person or source. You will surely not like it. This goes the same for others to whom you are thinking of sending the direct automated messages. This will be a failure and therefore strike it out of your list. It is better if you make the approach personal instead of using spam. With this you will be able to form connection with that person and this will be rewarding in the long run.
- Unplanned and messages with no relevance is harmful for you: The message that you want to give out to the audience for your business should be clear and apt. They must understand instantly what you want to convey them and like it. Never try to post a lot on the social media. Try posting relevant and interesting content first. You can focus on the quantity later.
