You can work independently as a consultant and may not have to report to anyone at all. You can pick the projects, decide the deadlines and you can finish the work from your home as well. You can also charge the fees you want to from the clients. It can be weekly, hourly or monthly, anything you want.

As an in-house SEO worker (within a team):

A secured job and self-growth: As the part of team, you are working on a permanent job, as long as you maintain the quality of your work. Along with this, there are different benefits like health insurance, dental and vision check-up and treatment which is provided by the company for which you will work. You also get trained for new projects which are challenging and thus your skills grow.

Your focus remaining undivided, gives better results: In this case, you have to focus and work for a particular project. SEO professionalsWorking on several at a time may vex you and the results can be disastrous. However, with the in-house SEO teams, things are more relaxed, since you are working on one project at a time. You get to learn more of your clients, thus being able to provide with the results they desire.

As a copywriter:

As a copywriter you pen down all the content for the company’s website. You work for in-house projects as well as for the clients. This requires you to do quality research in order to have the content ready and then make sure that it has all the necessary keywords. These are the basic differences which you must know.
