garcyaWhat is HTML and what does it stand for?

The full form of HTML is Hyper Text Markup Language, which is a markup language used for web documents descriptions. Now if you ask us about a markup language, we can say it is a set of the tags which are markups. HTML tags are used for describing the documents of HTML. For each document, a different tag is used.

The web browsers such as Internet Explorer, Safari, Chrome, Firefox, etc. read these documents and then display them. The HTML tags aren’t displayed by the browsers; instead these are used by the browsers to understand how the documents are to be displayed.

HTML is instrumental in formatting the contents of the web pages:

A lot can be done with HTML. For instance, you can add lists in both, bullets and numbers, paragraphs for any text, headlines, quotations and more. Apart from these, links can also be added to the documents to different web pages and the lead readers. Images can be added to make the pages a lot interesting to the eyes and more than that HTML is known to enable form elements which can be used for the purpose of adding interactivity to the site. For all these reasons HTML Web Design is used by the designers and developers.

The page contents can be well described with the use of HTML:

It goes much beyond formatting. HTML can be well used for the purpose of describing the web page contents for any business site. The readers or users as well as the computers can comprehend what has been given in the content which is an advantage. The text can be defined or emphasized as some unit of time or it can be considered as some small print which is legal. Some of these can affect the appearance too. It is like some text which is emphasized is in bold and the small print is in small. But when you are working on HTML, the text can be defined as small print and the program can be added later to that and have all the small print collected on the documents. It can be changed and adjusted together as if it’s a new document.
