A Better Medium for Visual Content

The content which is visual to eyes is definitely the one which is desired the most. The reason? Well it is definitely easier to consume, to understand than others. However, just the creation of beautiful and engaging content (which is visual) won’t be enough. Marketers are now looking for ways to promote the content. There are major social networking sites which enable the marketers to put up the visual content there in some manner. However that doesn’t necessarily show that the very network is the best medium for the visual promotion of the content. It is a realm of hundreds of social networking sites and the marketers better know how to have their time optimized in order to have the perfect type of content promoted on the channels which are appropriate for it.

As of now, it feels like Pinterest will be taking the entire thing in terms of being the best place for the promotion of visual content in the social media realm. It was until recently that Facebook had something launched which is known as Collections. This is a feature similar in style with Pinterest and allows the users to have the products added to some wish list or at least curate them into a given list. Pretty much like Pinterest, isn’t it?

There are more than 900 million active users on Facebook. Among these, at least 500 use Facebook daily. And Pinterest has more than 10 million users, 90% of whom are active on Facebook and on twitter as well. It is really clear that Facebook will have a larger audience. As it comes to the sharing of content online, you can reach to it with a number of people as you want. Facebook is known to have a user base which is large and active and it covers a spectrum which is wider than that of Pinterest. The user base of Pinterest is known to align with the demographic that is really specific and also it has the psychographic things. Of course it can be guessed that a lot of businesses are going to be successful on the Pinterest platform, if they are doing things outside the box. The fact will always remain that there are users and they more inclined towards the lifestyle-oriented things.

If one has to target Pinterest, then it will really be better, but it will be even better if Facebook is considered as well. On Facebook the content is sure to be seen by a lot more people and we mean a wider variety of course. If you have posted something that is data driven or have done with the hope of targeting a particular group of the crowd then you may find greater success in it. If you are thinking of posting something on Pinterest a lot of users will be on Facebook as well. So you can very much reach out to them. Thus it is always wise to know which the better place is to help your content go viral.
