How Google is considering to Rate Websites
What Google is likely to do: Google has gone to the extent of coming up with a certain patent that will be somewhat like the Panda and Penguin update and it will be stricter to ensure that the websites are really good. Google takes up a lot in order to provide its users the best search results. People all over the globe depend majorly on it and know it can never provide anything wrong. The search
engine therefore, does its best to maintain this trust and have it increased more. Which is why it has been taking these steps since the last few years. The recent patent that we are talking about may rank the websites majorly on their quality and how much humans find them to be useful. Websites will now have to make sure that they are capable of providing more human satisfaction. Websites will get their ranking on the basis of their quality. It can be that humans, i.e. the internet users will get to rank the websites on the basis of 1 to 5. The more a website scores, the more it gets the benefit. The search engine itself may also think of ranking the websites. The factors on which it may or the visitors will rank the websites can be as follows:
- Quality of the content
- How much is the text plagiarized
- If any irrelevant or rather inappropriate content is present in the website
- Site speed
- The layout of the website
Appeal of websites: A certain factor, the appeal of the website will be counted but only to classify the websites and not to strictly test them and penalize them. It can be that, the appeal of a website will be used in ranking it in the search results. Websites can have
broad appeal or narrow appeal. The ones with broad appeal are the ones that are popular to a large group of people, for example websites covering national affairs. The ones that are meant for a particular group or study will therefore, have narrow appeal.
It will check social engagement and blogs: It will also check the social mediaengagement and success of the business websites, bounce rates and your blogs. If you don’t have blogs then it is better that you start on one, for blogs are often considered to be the most popular form of content and if you get loyal readers, it is for sure that they will visit your website through the links given in your blogs. Since they have started to trust you, they are likely to stick to your website and be regular visitors. Thus in this manner your website will have more traffic and the bounce rate will reduce as well.
A word of advice: It is also advised that you do a lot of blog commenting as it will bring natural links to your website and also traffic. Remember, link building will always be important and having quality links will improve your ranking.
