Spam Comments and Real Comments: Knowing which Comments are Spam on Your Blog
Keep your blog safe:
Blogging is a common activity these days. And also essential. Bloggers can be of any profession and may do blogging as a part of their profession or as a hobby. But it is important to have a blog which won’t have anything that may invite trouble. By trouble we mean the wrath of Google. Google is very particular that the websites and blogs appearing in its search results should be of good
quality and there shouldn’t be 1% spam or plagiarism in them.
You need to understand as a blogger, which are favourable and are right and which are to be avoided. Now there is a trouble with blogs. You need comments on your blog. You must welcome them since you are getting the feedback for your post and also interacting with your audience which is essential. At the same time the comments on the blog are often taken as its content and thus the content of your blog increases. But there are spam comments in blogs these days. You need to stay away from them.
How can you get the right comments and traffic for your blog:
This doesn’t mean that you stop people from commenting on your blogs. Never think of doing that. These comments are essential and if not you, other bloggers, your competitors will have them and they will get better result with Google. But how to stay away only from the spam blog comments and have the rest allowed for your site? You need to understand the difference between real ones and the ones which are spam. The social media experts can help you with this. You can promote you own blog when you are commenting on other blogs. You can be an active participant in the communities and also link to the blog posts of the social media consultants. Do everything that is right and encouraged by Google, for it will bring you a lot of traffic and that too in the right way. You can then understand which are different blog comments and hence can be spam on your site.
Spam comments on your blog:
You will know the real ones with a bit of observation. Look for the ones which are by some brand and are spreading messages for it. The ones which are relevant to the post you wrote, i.e. the direct feedback and also suggesting more. The ones which are trying to understand your post and are willing discuss through commenting or are explaining further what you have explained. These are the real ones. And the ones which hold no significance and are useless rather are the ones to remove from your site. The ones like
someone can write well or they love a hobby definitely has got nothing to do with your blog (unless you are talking about writing or discussing hobbies!). Such comments are known as spams.
Know them well:
Spams can be of any format. Even the ones like “Great post.” Or “It was a wonderful idea.” Can also be spam since they really have no information or have nothing more to say. Also beware of the ones with link that ultimately lead to restricted sites or which may contain virus. Also the ones with poor grammar or are all “praises” nothing more to add are spam. Mark them as ‘spams’ and delete them.
